The Lucy Rayner Foundation was set up in May 2012 in memory of Lucy, who sadly took her own life aged just 22. This life changing event inspired the Rayner family to begin campaigning about the mental health challenges faced by young adults. They found that the support and help available to recognise and treat young adults with mental health challenges was inadequate and underfunded.
Currently the Foundation:
- Offers a number of different support services for people with mental health challenges
- Are actively involved in a number of projects to help raise awareness
- Runs a series of successful fundraising events to support their efforts
How HFG works with the Lucy Rayner Foundation
- We donate a percentage from every product which we sell to the Lucy Rayner Foundation
- From our launch until May 2022 HFG has donated £6,500 in total to the Lucy Rayner Foundation
This money has been used specifically to:
- Offer counselling sessions for NHS workers during the Covid-19 pandemic
- Fund in-school counselling sessions for students who were struggling with their mental health
- Send counsellors into 440 schools across Surrey to train staff to identify students who are struggling with their mental health
We are committed to supporting this charity and their life changing work. Find out more about them and donate at The Lucy Rayner Foundation.
